Thoughts that Matter

Been some months since I read a book. Few days ago, bought a book titled "Prayer, Does It Make Any Difference?" by one of the most inspirational spiritual writer of our day, Philip Yancey. Just read the Preface and am captivated by the thoughts of the writer as he shared about his near-death experience - In the face of imminent death, he felt that what matters reduces down to few basic questions:
  • Who do I love?
  • Who will I miss?
  • How have I spent my life?
  • Am I ready for what's next?
The answers to these questions should set the direction of my life; putting top priorities to things that matter. Waiting for the final moment to realise what I have missed, will surely results in deep regrets. Praying that I can keep in mind, these questions daily and remember never to let the things that are of little value, to overwhelm me and suck my time up for things that matter for eternity.
